A series of pictures revealing the real origin of a Moonstone which is really a common mineral named adularia because it was mined in Mt Adularia, in Swizerland. It is a feldspar with pearly and opal looking rocks. It has been revered for thousands of years According to Hindu legend, moonstone was formed from moonbeams; at one time it was believed that if you held one in your mouth during a full moon, you could see your future.
