Charles Dickens, Social Worker in His Time

Title

Charles Dickens, Social Worker in His Time

Subject

Victorian Literature

Description

This item consists of an argumentative essay that I used to aid my own argumentative Victorian research essay. In this essay, Andrews talks about how Dickens is responsible for shaping the views of many social workers via his fictional narratives. Within his narratives, he is able to transform the hearts of his readers, helping them empathize with the poor and oppressed fictional characters. In this way, social justice advocates are able to use the experience they had from reading Dickens and advocate for social justice in the real world.
